Training of Trainers (ToT) - Self-Care and Peer Support for Nurses and Frontline Health Workers
This initiative is designed to provide Capacity strengthening for healthcare providers in Moldova on Self-Care and Peer Support for Nurses and Frontline Health Workers - Training of Trainers (ToT). This initiative aims to enhance the emotional resilience and professional well-being of nurses and frontline healthcare providers through peer-led self-care and psychosocial support mechanisms.
The focus will be on equipping healthcare staff with the necessary skills and tools to lead peer support and initiatives promoting emotional well-being within their respective workplaces. This training contributes to the broader goal of enhancing the Moldovan health system's capacity to deliver integrated and multidisciplinary care.
General ObjectiveTo enhance the emotional resilience and mental well-being of nurses and other frontline healthcare workers in Moldova through sustainable, peer-led psychosocial support practices.
Specific Objectives
Participants will be selected nationally from the Moldovan public health sector, including:
- Registered nurses and medical assistants in public polyclinics and hospitals
- Head nurses and nurse supervisors
- Designated focal points for refugee or vulnerable patient care
- Duration: Each ToT session will last approximately 16 hours (2 working days).
- Number of Sessions: Two (2) in-person sessions of 20 participants each.
- Follow-Up: One (1) follow-up session for all participants (online or in-person).
- Period: September 2025
